Take a guess: how many summer music festivals does Catalonia have?

We haven't counted them all. But here are 34 of the best. A number that doesn't include some of the best-known ones (Primavera Sound, Sonar...) which have been Covid-obligated to cancel again this year. However, as a level of normality returns, more musical dates are being made - and kept. Catalonia offers music festivals of all kinds, from small-format rural and village gigs to concerts in beautiful outdoor settings, and passing through multi-day fests and all kinds of urban events. All across Catalonia, from June to October, they set the rhythm of our afternoons and nights.

From the Itaca Festival up in the Empordà - already underway - to the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa that will arrive in the autumn, El Nacional's Revers presents the practical guide to Catalonia music festivals for this 2021.

1
