Catalan National Day, la Diada, on September 11th, is a great day to take advantage of the many notable buildings and spaces that offer Open Doors and free entry that day. Many museums, spaces and emblematic buildings can be visited for free on this public holiday, so don't miss the opportunity. Here's a list of buildings and centres, some in Barcelona and many others in the rest of Catalonia, with their opening hours for Monday, September 11th, 2023, so you can take advantage of the 2023 Open Doors for the Diada.

Open Doors in Barcelona for Diada 2023 

In most of the places listed below, the open doors policy is only on Monday September 11th. Exceptions are noted:

  • Centre Excursionista de Catalunya: Open on 10th and 11th September from 10.30 am to 1pm. You must register beforehand on their website. 
  • El Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria: From 10am to 8pm
  • Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya: From 10am to 2pm. Register beforehand on their website.
  • Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya: From 10am to 2:30pm. 
  • Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya: From 10am to 2:30pm. 
  • Museu d’Història de Catalunya: From 10am to 2:30pm. 
  • Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC): From 10am to 3pm. 
  • Palau de la Generalitat: Can be visited on September 10th and 11th with prior registration on the website. Hours:
    • Sunday 10th: 11am to 7pm.
    • Monday 11th: 11am to 5pm.
  • Palau Güell: From 10am to 8pm (You need to obtain a free ticket from its website)
  • Parlament de Catalunya: From 11am to 6pm.
  • Virreina Centre d'Imatge: From 11am to 8pm.

 

Open Doors around Catalonia for Diada 2023
