Exports by Catalan businesses have again broken all historical records this September, according to statistics published this Tuesday by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.
Overseas sales in September reached 6.073 billion euros (£5.37 billion, $7.12 billion), a growth of 5.68% compared to September last year. The data reveals the best September in Catalonia's history, the best third quarter and also the best total for the first nine months of the year.
Third quarter exports totalled 17.037 billion euros (£15.1 billion, $20.0 billion), a 6.20% growth over the same period last year. In the first nine months of 2017, Catalan companies have seen sales worth 52.677 million euros (£46.6 billion, $61.8 billion), an 8.4% increase on the same period in 2016.
