Among the nominations approved today by Catalonia's executive council are some bringing back high-ranking officials who were fired or investigated following last year's independence referendum and the surrounding events. Not only names from the government, but also from the Parliament, like Anna Simó, who was one of the Parliament's Bureau's secretaries. Under investigation on charges of disobedience, she didn't stand again in last December's election. This Thursday she has been nominated president of the schools council of Catalonia.
The executive council has nominated Antoni Molons the new secretary of government communications and media. Molons was fired as secretary of broadcasting and public assistance on 16th March, the day after he was arrested as part of the investigations of the financing of last year's Catalan referendum.
Likewise, Annabel Marcos, fired on 3rd April as director of the Institute of Public Safety of Catalonia following accusations she transported a ballot box in her car on the day of the Catalan independence referendum, is back as the new secretary of administration and the civil service.
