Friday April 13. That's the date of the new debate the Catalan Parliament's speaker called today to elect a president. But the big question is: will the debate go ahead or will it be cancelled, again? The answer is not simple: the candidate, Jordi Sànchez, is in jail. And a judge has to decide whether to release him so he can attend the debate. In February, the answer was no. But since then, the UN has urged Spain to protect Sànchez’s political rights. So what will the judge decide? Also today, the Spanish king visited Barcelona, amid tight security measures and street protests.
