The Catalan branch of PP (Popular Party) has reported the editor of morning program El Matí on Catalan public radio, the journalist Mònica Terribas, to the Electoral Commission of the province of Barcelona.
The PP believes that Terribas gave "value judgements and personal positions" in the editorial of the section "La Portada" (the front page) on 28th November. This, they aledge, would violate the guarantees of political and social pluralism the Spanish Constitution demands of the public media.
In the editorial, Terribas referred to the Electoral Commission's ban on Catalan public media using the terms "imprisoned ministers" and "president-in-exile". She also discussed the ban on members of the public working at polling stations wearing yellow ribbon loops.
