Catalonia is now appearing on Times Square's famous screens. From today until 18th November, the most famous sites will appear in full-colour and stories-high in the heart of New York. It's part of the tourist campaign from the Catalan government and Tourism Agency involving a VR game, Legends of Catalonia.
The business and skills minister, Àngles Chacón, has posted a video to Twitter showing the campaign in situ:

Legends of Catalonia is a game featuring five Catalans known around the world. The aim is to offer an immersive experience for players to discover Catalonia and its most famous sites. The campaign is focused on attracting tourism from North America, for which reason the organisers have sought links with US media.
According to the Catalan Tourism Agency, this is the first time that a tourism agency has used a game to promote its country, what they call a "risky, but powerful" choice.
