The decision by the Catalan Parliament to allow for presidential candidates to be invested without being physically present in the chamber, despite the warning not to from prime minister Mariano Rajoy, has been picked up by international media. In many cases, they see it as an attempt to try and reelect Carles Puigdemont as president.
