The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) have arrested an inspector of the Spanish National Police Corps who entered a bakery in Barcelona's Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district carrying a weapon.
Sources have told El Nacional that the man entered the shop showing a revolver, and then threatened the customers: "either stay quiet or I'll kill you all".
Later, the man was subdued by Mossos agents, who arrested him and confiscated his weapon and badge.
The National Police agent has stated that he was "under the effects of alcohol" at the time.
