Pep Guardiola is carrying on thinking about how to overcome the numerous injuries in his Manchester City side for their match against Chelsea tomorrow. But he's doing it with one eye towards Catalonia. City's coach has spoken again about the 1st October referendum, showing himself in total agreement with yesterday's comments from Gerard Piqué: "A perfect weekend? That we can vote. That they do it as Piqué said, with tranquillity and with everyone able to express themselves. A festival of democracy for everyone would be so good."
Guardiola, in the middle of a flurry of victories, is looking to leave behind memories of last year and win his first titles in England. Currently, in the first month of the season, he's getting his team to perform well and adapt to his very particular style of play. Manchester are joints leaders of the Premier League and alone at the top of Group F in the Champions League.
