Rafa Nadal its a sports superstar recognised around the world, but he has also shown himself to be just like anyone else. Today and yesterday, he publicly offered the use of his own sports centre to those in need of accommodation after the flash flooding in Mallorca's Llevant county. Now, he's taken it a step further still and got stuck in to helping with the clean-up.
The tennis player, who was born on Mallorca, was seen in wellington boots, holding a broom in place of his racket. He still lives in Manacor, 11km (7 miles) from Sant Llorenç, the epicentre of the catastrophe. He was recorded helping by Carlos Márquez, a journalist with El Periódico.

A charitable gesture from the tennis star, helping his fellow residents, and demonstrating that there are things more important than money. One of the images that will go down in history from this natural disaster.
