Following the violent scenes in Catalonia this morning, after the Spanish state's National Police and Civil Guard attacked citizens queuing peacefully to vote at polling stations across the country, Sky News commented to El Nacional that some of the "bloodied scenes" were too violent to broadcast.
"We have seen some violent pictures on Sky News," the presenter commented to El Nacional this afternoon, during a telephone interview which was broadcast live on the news channel. "Some pictures we can't actually broadcast - some bloodied scenes," she added. The interview continued whilst Sky News showed images outside a polling station in Girona this morning, with Spanish police attacking citizens with batons and riot shields. The presenter concluded the interview by speaking of a "constitutional crisis" in Spain.
