39.1% of Spaniards would be in favour of a new wave of central government intervention in Catalonia, whilst 13.6% support "negotiating without concessions". The results come from a survey carried out by SocioMétrica for newspaper El Español. It also shows that only 9.4% like the idea of Catalonia holding a self-determination referendum.
As for other possible options for what "the Spanish government could do with the Catalan problem", only 20.3% would support a new Statute of Autonomy.
Podemos' supporters are the most taken with the measure, with 14.1% of them supporting a referendum. For the other Spain-wide parties, the figures are much lower: 4.7% of PSOE voters, 3.8% of Cs voters, 1.8% from Vox and 1.3% from PP.
Notable is the support for invoking article 155 of the Constitution against Catalonia again, which is as high as 81.8% and 86.9% among PP and Vox voters respectively. That would also be the option chosen by 69.8% of Ciudadanos voters. The share drops to 21.1% of PSOE supporters and 8.6% of Podemos.
