Spain's National Audience court has issued national, international and European arrest warrants against the rapper Valtonyc after it was confirmed today that he hadn't presented himself at prison. It was reported yesterday that he had left Spain instead of voluntarily handing himself in.
At the same time, his support group has said they do not know whether he is in Belgium. Mulay Embarek, one of the group's members made the admission, saying that people close to the rapper haven't heard anything from him for three weeks.
Hours earlier, Spanish justice minister Rafael Catalá had announced that a European Arrest Warrant would be issued for his detention and extradition to Spain. The minister said that "the European Arrest Warrant is a successful model, with certain difficulties in certain special cases, which works normally and in this case, if he's in an EU country, I'm sure that it will work normally".
