Three activists from feminist protest group Femen have this afternoon burst onto the stage where far-right party Vox was set to hold the closing event for its campaign for this Sunday's Spanish general election in Madrid's plaza Colón.
Shortly after 7pm, the three women climbed onto the stage, topless, shouting slogans, including "it's not patriotism, it's fascism". They ran off, trying to avoid party security.
The protesters were caught by Vox's security team and taken away by police. The event hadn't yet started and there were few people in the audience. Over the PA, a sarcastic call was made to applaud the activists.
