A camper on holiday in Empordà, northeastern Catalonia, has reported a new Spanish nationalist attack this Wednesday on Twitter. The word "Spanish" has been graffitied on his caravan.
As the victim explained in the tweet below, he believes the attack was due to the estelada Catalan pro-independence flag he'd got on his vehicle. He also reported that security services had already identified the person responsible. "10 out of 10 for them," he added ironically.
In another tweet, the victim directly addressed former leader of centre-right Ciudadanos in Catalonia, Inés Arrimadas. "Look at this, Inés Arrimadas, this is how our caravan has ended up for having an estelada. I await your condemnation...", the tweet reads.
Arrimadas is well known for her relentless campaigning against yellow ribbons, which can be seen exhibited in the streets, throughout Catalonia, in solidarity with Catalan leaders political prisoners.
