A large fire broke out this Wednesday morning in the building housing a Burger King outlet next to Barcelona's Sagrada Família, reportedly in the building's ducts.
The incident saw a large cloud of black smoke rising into the sky right next to one of the city's most-visited attractions. The fire has since been controlled; nobody has been injured.
The Barcelona fire service deployed seven crews to the site to extinguish the blaze whilst the city's Urban Guard police force blocked the roads on the corner between carrer de la Marina and Provença and ambulance crews stood by. One of the entrances to Sagrada Família metro station was also closed for a time.
