Unheard of. Judge Manuel García-Castellón now indicts the Tsunami Democràtic defendants because "among its objectives one could be acting while King Felipe VI's retinue passed by", basing his accusation on a generic conversation dated July 2020. In the ruling, published this Friday, the Spanish National Audience court judge states that, reviewing the reports, he found "a new Tsunami action", from a Wire app conversation between one of the investigated, Josep Campmajó, with the user called Xuxu Rondinaire, which he states he could be an agent of the Mossos d'Esquadra Catalan police. The judge commissioned the Guardia Civil Spanish police to identify who Xuxu Rondinaire is and the visits of the monarch on those dates.

Precisely, on July 20th 2020, thousands of people gathered in l'Espluga de Francolí (Tarragona) to begin a march on foot to the monastery of Poblet, a gathering which coincided with the King and Queen's visit to Catalonia. The demonstrators carried a banner with the slogan "Catalonia has no king", and walked the two kilometres from L'Espluga to Poblet. There were no incidents.

Evidence

The alleged clues which the judge claims to have found are only supported by this conversation. He details that Xuxu Rondinaire, in a previous conversation, speaks of "Guardia R", and therefore deduces that "in all probability he is referring to the Royal Guard", and that in a previous conversation he makes "a detailed account of the standard security deployment carried out during the monarch's travels". The judge concludes: "It can be inferred from the conversation that Tsunami Democràtic could have planned to carry out some action in relation to the visit of H.M. the King in Barcelona". However, nothing happened.

Specifically, the incriminating phrase for the judge is: "A few hours before, the Guardia R goes back and forth along the route, informing of new developments. Explain to me what you want to do and I'll tell you if it's worth it or if it's a waste of time like at the Camp Nou". Tsunami Democràtic promoted a peaceful rally at the Barça-Madrid match on 18 December 2019, demanding dialogue with the government. Outside the stadium, some people were arrested for throwing objects at police vans.

Cases filed

In addition, the judge has ordered the Mossos d'Esquadra, the police and the Guardia Civil to provide reports on the mobilisations promoted by Tsunami Democràtic, which in some cases are investigations already judged or archived, such as the protests on the AP-7 in 2019, which is stated in the same resolution of this Friday, to which ElNacional.cat has had access. The head of the central court of instruction 6 of the Audiencia Nacional also insists on asking for more reports to AENA and the SEM about the death of the French citizen, when a judge of L'Hospitalet already filed it when she did not see any relationship or crime.

Córdoba's lawyer, accusation

The judge has also admitted the appearance of a new popular accusation, in addition to Vox, Sociedad Civil Catalana and the entity close to the PP Dignitiat y Justicia: it is a lawyer from Córdoba, Francisco Velasco Pedraza, from whom he is asking for 5,000 euros to be able to participate in the proceedings.

With this resolution, the judge of the Audiencia Nacional continues the crusade to torpedo the president Carles Puigdemont, the general secretary of ERC, Marta Rovira, and ten other defendants accused of terrorism, so that they can take advantage of the amnesty law for the facts of the Procés, which is being processed in the Congress of Deputies.
