Released, but with obligations. The duty judge in Barcelona has informed the Catalan MEP Clara Ponsatí, that she may remain at large, but has notified her that she must appear before the judge of the Supreme Court, Pablo Llarena, in Madrid, to give her statement as a person investigated for disobedience of the Constitutional Court, over the holding of the 1st October 2017 referendum on Catalan independence. Specifically, the resolution allows her to go free but sets the appointment for her statement before the judge at April 24th at 11am at the Supreme Court.

After five years in exile, Ponsatí returned to Catalonia this Tuesday afternoon and held a press conference at the Journalists' Association, in Barcelona, with her lawyer Gonzalo Boye, in which she asserted that "she will not give in" nor would she appear before the judge, in Madrid. When she left the press conference she was arrested by a plain-clothes member of the Mossos police near Barcelona cathedral. If Ponsatí remains in Catalonia after this notification, and does not go to the Supreme Court as the judge has ordered, it is possible that she will be arrested again and taken to Madrid. Ponsatí was held in court custody for more than four hours, with her lawyer presenting a habeas corpus, before she received the resolution at around 10:45pm.
