Spain's National Audience court is investigating four more CDR pro-independence activists for terrorism in a resumption of "Operation Judas" - the high-profile Civil Guard operation carried out in Catalonia last September to arrest nine members of the Committees to Defend the Republic (CDR) groups. This has been revealed today Monday by the Alerta Solidària legal aid team at a press conference. The four people - whose first names are Esther, Sònia, Rafael and Queralt - have been summonsed to testify along with the only two activists arrested in last September's raid who were not held for weeks in jail, David Budria and Clara Borrero. Thus, the total number of defendants in this investigation rises to 13.
The CUP political party has confirmed that one of the activists who has just been added to the list of those accused, Queralt, is a member of the party in the town of Sentmenat: "All our support for those arrested on September 23rd and our partner Queralt," was the party's message of support.

Alerta Solidària has complained that the issuing of the new summonses is a further violation of the right to a defence. "The summonses sent out by the court's investigating judge are motivated by a letter to the prosecution, which the defence teams have not yet been able to access," protested the legal aid group.
The support group for the arrested CDR activists has called a protest for this evening at 8pm in four Catalan towns: Sabadell, Mollet del Vallès, Sentmenat and Folgueroles .
