TV3's election day poll, which picks Ada Colau to hold on in the Barcelona mayoral race with the PSC's Jaume Collboni second, also forecasts gains for the Catalan Socialists in the three other Catalan capitals, especially in Tarragona and Lleida. In Girona, Junts candidate Gemma Geis is expected to win the election, but PSC threatens here as well.

Junts to repeat victory in Girona, but PSC reduces the distance

The election day poll commissioned by TV3 forecasts that in the Girona capital, Together for Catalonia (Junts) will repeat its 2019 victory with 26% and 9 councillors, but the Catalan Socialists (PSC) will gain ground to win 25% of votes and 8 councillors. The third party would be the Catalan Republican Left (ERC)  with 13% and 4 councillors; followed by the left-wing coalition Guanyem, with 13% and 4 seats as well (falling from second to fourth position). PSC, dominant in Tarragona

The Catalan public television poll predicts a clear victory for the PSC, with 30% of the vote and 10 councillors in the city of Tarragona. ERC's Pau Ricomà, current mayor, who was practically tied with the Socialists, would fall back to 19% of votes and 6 seats, falling 4 behind the Socialists and thus complicating his continuity at the head of city hall. The rest of the Tarragona council, according to TV3, would be formed by the PP (15% and 5 seats), Vox (3), Junts (2-3) and Tarragona En Comú Podem (between 0 and 1 seat). The CUP would not enter.

Another city that ERC would have at risk is Lleida. The Republicans won in the western Catalan capital in 2019, in addition to their victory in Barcelona; although in the city of Lleida as well as Tarragona, they managed to govern. Now, mayor Miquel Pueyo has to tough, according to TV3's election day poll, with 19% of votes and 6 councillors. In fact, the PSC would finish first with 26% of votes and 8 representatives (one more than in 2019), while Junts would remain in third position (as in 2019) with 15% and 5 councillors, one less than in the last elections. The other parties with a municipal presence, according to the poll would be the PP (4), Vox (2), the CUP (1) and the Comuns(1).
